LEGO minifigure identifier from a photo
Use a photo to find a candidate minifigure match, then compare its image, identifiers and related sets.
Photograph, compare, confirm
- Photograph one minifigure in even light against a plain background.
- Open the scanner and select or take the photo.
- Compare the suggested result with your figure’s head, torso, legs and accessories.
- Open the catalog entry to review identifiers, related sets and available value estimates.
Why the variant matters
Different LEGO releases can share a character name while using different prints or parts. A match to the character alone is not enough to establish the exact catalog entry. Look closely at back printing, alternate faces, headgear and leg details.
The scanner can help narrow the search, but a blurry photo or a figure assembled from mixed parts may produce an uncertain result. Try another angle and compare candidates manually.
Search without a photo
If you know a name, BrickLink ID or set number, use BrickIndex search. If you have no identifier, browse the minifigure catalog and follow related-set links to narrow the possibilities.
